All my life I have had a love affair with fabrics, textiles and cloth. My professional life has been spent as a Graphic Designer, Lecturer, Business owner and Educator. I have been designing and making quilts for more than 15 years. I find patchwork quilts endlessly engaging and appealing. As a design objects the possibilities of colour, pattern, texture, tone and mood are so rich, many more designs than can be made in a life time. The making of quilts is pleasure in itself and a creative activity that is full of unexpected surprises, and in the end there is a useful object.
